The spoon and shoe box puppets are perfect for preschool center time and for parent-child activities for the Thanksgiving holidays. I will be sharing these activities with my granddaughters Finley and Tai during the Thanksgiving holdiays.

Thanks for the many excellent ideas that you share through the Story Connection Newsletter. I pray that your surgery is successful and know that you are healed from all cancerous cells. It is done according to your faith.

Dianne

First library cards - sigh - now they want the car keys!
When my kids were in middle school I made them do a library tour - I highly suggest that everybody get one - the library is so much more then just books. And you learn some neat tricks too using the library search catalog system. Just ask your local librarian they will be glad to give you and a child a short tour.

Thanks again for all your support for the podcast.

Thank you for promoting your library! As a library employee, I can tell you that we appreciate others advocating on our behalf and promoting services which the general public may not know we have.

I am having fun with crafts a second time around. Mother of a 36 and 37 year old and a 15 and 9 year old. When my older children were young we made confetti eggs...your Humpty Dumpty brought back the memory...at the school fair we would sell the confetti eggs by the hundreds. After blowing and drying the eggs, we filled them with about a tablespoon full of confetti added by using a small funnel. (The confetti is easy for little ones to make and can be made of scraps of construction paper or discarded junk mail). We used the egg carton as a working tray - it came in especially handy for the next step. Using Elmers Glue, place a piece of tissue paper over the hole in the bottom of the egg. Let dry. Decorate anyway you want. Back then we sold them for 10 cents or $1.00 dozen. Now the fun part! The fair was out on the payground so the kids had permission to crack the eggs over each others heads - and the teachers!!! What fun! And it was a great money maker! Love your site.

Hello,
My family lives the Birmingham area of Alabama. My husband and son are in the area around Thibodaux and Amite La working to restore power. My son works for Alabama Power and my husband is retired from there and now works with Utility Lines Construction who contracts work from Alabama Power. They take great pride in being able to come help when they are needed. At this time my son lives behind a wife with 2 small sons, one is just 8 weeks old and his other son will have his birthday in a couple of weeks and we hope he is home for this celebration. As he was heavy hearted to leave his family, he also has a heart to help others in need. We pray that life will get back to normal for all of those affected by this hurricane. Because we want our family to return to us as soon as able.
I just wanted you to know that people do care. Our prayers are with you and your family... I wish you well... God Bless You!
